I didn't realise until today that he was once manager of Barcelona !

A good writer/author too. 'Hazell' was his creation and went on to be televised. We 'acted' for him a few times and lived in a charming house as a 'young' man in Glendale Gardens near Gants Hill, Redbridge.

Always had his head 'screwed on' I remember meeting him there a few times and later in Seven Ways Restaurant over a contractual matter, when he went to Spain. Very engaging and charismatic, a pleasure to have as a client - always after the business was concluded wanted to talk about 'you'. Had a great memory for names (my dog was unwell one time), he'd remembered his name!
