Or so they say. Migrants in hotels are costing the taxpayer £8 million a DAY!

The only thing I want the government to say about migrants and mean it, is, they are sending them away. I don't believe them about hotels anyway, this lot of Scunners will say anything and do nothing.  :waiting:

It'll probably be a re-naming thing, so hotels can be given a temporary status as eg " asylum R us" centred

Things are getting much much better, in that they aren't getting worse quite so quickly as before.

This is, I think, the government's spin on it.

Daft lot.. They think by moving illegals around the country the people will believe that something is being done..
The problem remains.. It's just been planted somewhere else..
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

Yes they are only moving the problem around. Let's not assume either that the hotels in question are being closed permanently to illegals, and they could remain closed to the pubic. Even if they are re-opened, it means that the hotels will be refurbished at the public's expense. The whole thing is a stain on the reputation of the once conservative party.

Having completely cocked things up for the last 13 or so years, I wonder how long it will take the few re-elected Tories to point the finger of blame at the next ( non Tory ) government.

Scrumpy

Most of the Tory failures will sit in the House of Lords cocking it up for the next government who comes to power.. and being paid to do so..
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

GB News were saying 100. Everybody else is saying 50 by January. They also said they were all in marginal constituencies. How odd.

It's more likely that they are just blanket accepting the asylum claims. They can't deport them if they don't anyway.

Of course.

In housing the illegals in hotels, not only is the government throwing away all our money, they are also increasing the attraction to more illegals to make their way here in ever greater numbers.

Some of our cities (London, Bradford, Birmingham, and many others) are already being taken over by foreign and dangerous people, and I am sure that as their numbers continue to increase not only will our country become ever more divided (as already seen recently in London), but will eventually fall to third-world status.

Who would ever have imagined that the country would be completely ruined by the Conservatives.  I'm glad that I shall not live to see it, but it still upsets me greatly after all that the British people have done to make it once the greatest country in the world.

I may be wrong, but I'm getting a sliver of a sense of cynicism coming from you lot.

Too right ... I'll believe it when I see it ... have you seen some of these posh places they're in.
