It's funny ... but in my neck of the woods there seems a lot more birds this year, especially blackbirds. They seemed to have thrived in the wet April that we had,

But, as to everything else. I think I've seen only one ladybird and a couple of small honey bees.

Maybe they got eaten by all those blackbirds...


Men don't get smarter as we age.  We just run out of stupid stuff to do.

The other week a big beetle came in .. I had to google it. A cockchafer ... never seen one before.

We've had lots of pretty poppies in the garden and they have been covered in bees.  I haven't seen any ladybirds or butterflies yet though.
