Apollo, one of the Royal Clyde's who's a Drum Horse had me in fits today during the parade. He started to walk sideways like a Dressage Horse does.  :embarrassed:
I feel sorry for his rider though as no doubt some loud mouth Rank will give him a rocket over it.  :nooo:
I know first hand how hard it can be to stop a Clydie doing something it wants to do, It's not easy.

Couldn't see your video Raven, I didn't notice the Clyde doing a crab missed that one, but I thought I heard said that some of these protesters were throwing ball bearings under the horses feet.  One of the black horses ridden by I think it was the Household Cavalry on the way to the Abbey was very spooked and the poor rider was working hard to keep him steady, not much you can do when you are right in the middle of the procession.

I detest the protesters who involve the horses or any of the animals.

They're the ones who should be arrested, not someone who holds a placard up.

Apparently The Hyde Park bombings lost the IRA a lot of support in Ireland because they killed horses.
The problem with being retired is that you never get a day off

I'm not surprised the horse tried to wander off, did you see the size of the drums banging next to his ears ?

They are that. Loved Clydesdales since my dad first plonked me on ones back when I was 3 years old. We were visiting a farm to get something or other he wanted and while he talked to the farmer I sat on top of a gate making friends with the Clydie. THEN, I got my first ride round the field on it's back.  :yay:
