Does anyone (apart from me) use either of these two technical drawing programmes?

Warning: I might come to you for help if I ever get stuck!

I tried TurboCad some years ago, and found it totally beyond me!

It certainly is complicated and I have had to ask on one of their users' sites about something recently.  However, I have been using it for some years now and can make use of it for everything I want to do.  There are, I'm sure, many other practical things that can be done with it, but nothing that I really need.
I do, however, create detailed 3D diagrams from various perspectives, which I find very useful for examining my 'creations'.

I found some image editing software I could actually understand about 20 years ago. It was updated. I stuck with the old version. I've never tried any of the photoshop range but I'll guarantee that Oy knows all about it.

CAD software no. I do have a 3D printer but I stick to stuff designed by others. Not sure what software I'd use for it if I had to but I'd likley consult #1 son who has made a number of custom items for his own projects.

Oh, I don't have a 3D printer and, as far as I know, I couldn't print a 3D object created in TurboCAD.  I use the programme to create 3D images which can be rotated to view from any direction and distance, and it also has the facility to add any number of layers which can be viewed all together or individually, which makes examining creations in detail very easy.

Photoshop is completely different and can make use of images scanned in and altered or added to by my own ideas.  Each individual image is not 3D and cannot be rotated; for that, I create separate images of different aspects.

I spent out on Photoshop, only to find out when I replaced my laptop that I needed the code to install it. Can't find the code anywhere, so that's £90 down the drain.

Don't panic.  The Photoshop people are very good and, assuming you registered your software when you first installed it, they will give you the necessary code if you ask them.
They did that for me, anyway.

I've used Photoshop professionally for years - but never the 'Elements' version.

The full Photoshop software costs an arm and a leg and I can't afford that, unfortunately.
On the other hand, Elements works perfectly sufficiently for my needs, thankfully.

Elements does all I need, as well, but then, my demands of it are pretty simple

'OW MUCH!  That's £120 a year.  Bear in mind that I'm a tight-fisted Yorkshireman.
