Whenever Sam and I had a disagreement he would say 'Statistics prove..'
I have since learned that statistics don't prove much really.. They differ as to where you are reading them..

What replies have you heard others use as a 'get out'..?
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

Can't remember who said it.  "There are lies, damned lies and statistics" or something along those lines.

Many have claimed that Disraeli first used it but research shows that Leonard H. Courtney, (1832-1918), later Lord Courtney, quoted the phrase in a speech made in New York during 1895.
