What I didn't realise is that I would have to find my own refugee.. and resort to Facebook and Instagram accounts where desperate post images of themselves pleading for a safe home.

That is a complete disgrace. I wonder how many of the thousands that reportedly signed up are actually housing anybody or will be by the end of the month.

And the sadness of those not being chosen..
