I reckon that is snatching at straws. For a start, the interior of a letter O isn't a circle - it's a disc

Ok so if you get out a compass and twist it round what do you get? Answer a circle.

How many times would you need to do that to produce the picture below?



Answer 9.
So you need nine circles to produce that.
Now a letter O - you need to do it twice. So each O is another 2 circles.
Now the © well true the ring is thin but it isn't zero width or it wouldn't be there so that is two circles also.

A circle comprises a bent line and a line is one dimensional so has no width.

About on a par with our senior maths master once chalked up on the board (for the life of me can't remember the details) a 'proof' that 1=2. To be honest, I see this thread as a demonstration of the Confucian  claim that the world's greatest fool could pose a question that the the world's wisest man could not answer - count me out from any more of these sillies

Even counting the letters 'o' as circles, I only get 12

You counted 9 for the 2 dimensional rings and central disk but only 3 for the letter Os which are identical to the rings. It seems you missed the © entirely.

Anyway Oy saw yet another two so I'll pass the answer on to him now.
