Some old photos are real weird .... and show how times have changed.
This is my all time favourite.
Baby cages used to ensure that children get enough sunlight and fresh air when living in an apartment building, ca. 1937Clearly pre-Health & Safety .. though as gardens become smaller and covered in concrete for car parking maybe they'll make a comeback.
Are you sure it was to give the sprog the benefits of sunlight and fresh air?
They could use them for the poor dogs shut indoors all day, whilst their owners are at work.
Thats one scary photo!
Wow!! Scary..
I remember my mother talking of one in East London that was struck by lightening in a freak electric storm. Fortunately the mother had removed the child, but the burning wreckage plummeting eight stories was spectacular to behold apparently!
