I'm still on the Reform Party email list & this one was music to my ears as it mirrors what I've said about the UK leaving the ECHR & Refugee Convention.

1) Publish the origin of Channel migrants monthly.
2) Instruct the Navy to give the location of launch points immediately to the French police and also to publish them publicly.
3) Pick up and take back boats under the existing laws provided in the 1974 International Convention of Safety of Lives at Sea.
4) Withdraw from the European Convention on Human Rights and the 1951 Refugee Conventiion.
5) Reform the Human Rights Act 1998
6) Merge the existing Border Force and Immigration Enforcement departments into a single dedicated force, to be called Her Majesty's Border Force (HMBF)
7) Remove the new HMBF from woke civil service control, attaching it to the Home Office as a separate entity.

If only voters would see past Tory & Labour & they were given a chance to get elected.

I might ask Truss's campaign team why they don't adopt these, what I regard as massive, General Election vote-winning policies.

Yep.

Their agenda has been music to my ears for quite a while as I still get their emails from when I made donations to the Brexit Party. It's why I'm so critical of the Tories although I may still give them my vote being in a marginal which has had a Labour MP in the past. If the polling shows the Tories to be a lost cause at the time of the next election (which is what I fully expect) and there is a Reform candidate then they will get my vote. If there is no Reform candidate I'll spoil the ballot instead.

I wish I could understand why we apparently prefer to vote for politicians that do unfavourable  things to  us time and again, when there are others whose aim in life is to make things better for us.

because the system is virtually self-perpetuating, forcing one to vote for the least unattractive party with a chance of winning.

I think they'll win a lot of votes with that agenda. Its high on many voters' lists.

There is no reason why the current government isn't immediately turning round at least the Albanians who come here illegally.

Its not how old you are, but how you are old. 💖

Most people are not happy with with Tory/Labour/Liberal parties, so why vote for them? just because you want to keep the other party out is a poor excuse (done it myself), vote for a party like Reform who might actually have new ideas and solve the dinghy crisis, the others sure as hell won't and all you will get is the same old stuff or worse from any of the big three because they don't really care.  I hope Reform have a candidate in my area I will vote for them.

I think people are full of good intentions but when push comes to shove they vote as they always have.  I voted UKIP and when the results came out, only a few hundred did the same.    I like Richard Tice he talks a lot of sense and it's thanks to him we now know about the Albanians.  I believe his partner is journalist Isabel Oakeshott.

If a substantial number of votes go to a new party you will see the others adopting their policies. As in a referendum for leaving the e.u. so it is important to vote for what you want.

JBR

I completely agree with all of the above and I shall certainly vote for Reform UK.
As many have said, the real problem is our own voters!
We get what we deserve.  It's just that so many are so stupid that they don't see the consequences.

Unfortunately the most likely beneficiaries of a Conservative party in disarray and a clueless opposition is likely to be the traditional protest vote party.

Fortunately too late for her though...

The Liberal/SDP Alliance has probably seen the high point of its history now. It was formed by a small group of labour MPs with the aim of keeping themselves in their seats, and labour out of office, and they achieved that goal in 2010.

klondike

I'd hope that was so but am not as optimistic as you and fear that they will pick up protest votes of which there will surely be many. Having showed their complete willingness to ignore the biggest democratic vote ever held in this country followed by a crushing electoral defeat including this joyous result

You'd think they would be sunk without a trace but they did reasonably well in this by election https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2022/jun/24/lib-dem-byelection-win-spectacular-labour-hurt-tories-most
