You need to bear with the slow presentation. I saw some who just whipped through without explaining and they were pretty useless. This bloke hopes you can get it in one from his. I didn't - it took a recap or two but it seems to have stuck.

Today I learned that Royal Mail are on strike..
I walked to our local news agent/post office with a parcel.. and walked all the way back with it.   :nooo:
But while I was there I bought a couple of lottery tickets.. Perhaps that is what I was meant to be there for in the first place..  :yahoo:
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

Today I learned the connection between Leicester Square in London, and Leicester. There isn't one. It was named by the politician Robert Sidney (1595 - 1677) who was elected as MP for constituencies in Wiltshire and Kent. He inherited his father's title of Earl of Leicester. The square in London is named after the house he had built there which he called Leicester House.

Today I learned that 4525 babies were born every day in Egypt over a 7 month period.    It's the third most populous country after Nigeria and Ethiopia.

Not with white British babies it won't. Birthrate in that demographic has plunged well below the 2.1 per mother needed to maintain the population.

I learned that it's harder to say goodbye to a place than I thought it would be. But needs must, as circumstances can change out of the blue.

Blimey that takes me back. I had one too. Well after a while just some of one. All to easy to lose those little pegs.

I've been making sure I still remember almost on a daily basis.

Are you moving  ?

Today I learned that Oat milk in coffee isn't so bad

GrannyMac

I've never tried oat milk, might have to give it a go.

Yesterday, I had a meeting on Teams! It was so simple, I'd been worried I might not access it, or hear the others, but no problems.

Our LA is working on a new strategy for Older Peoples Housing, and I'm one of a couple of older volunteers in the group.

Install a PIR floodlight.
Maybe an ultrasonic pest deterrent too.
