I watched the husting on the GBNews channel last night. The people didn't get chance to ask Rishi many questions, because after answering each question he spent more time attacking Liz, wasting time. Liz answered all question and did not mention him once, and answer far more questions. Just hope she his able to carry out her plans.

I watched it on catch up, but I missed Sunak's section.  I thought Alastair Stewart was very good and Liz seems to have a sense of humour too !

Raven

I don't want either of them but I agree with this article, especially after watching and listening to the Truss Woman. She will not help those who need it, only the already well off.

BBC News - Michael Gove backs Rishi Sunak in Tory leadership bid

Gove getting out before being removed Raven. Rishi trying to take credit for every thing Boris has done. Liz going to make the Tories a low tax party which it stands for. With a clear out of the front bench with a very fresh look, we must wait and see how well they do. Just hope they surprise you Raven. Rishi job will I expect be taken by Kwasi Kwarteng.

Labour party have lost 100,000 members and going broke.

A backing from Gove is like a football chairman's vote of confidence.
The problem with being retired is that you never get a day off

Raven

As you say Hugh, it's a game of wait and see.

Raven you might try reading other reports on politics and not always the BBC, just a thought.....

Diasi

I don't bother watching the hustings as Liz Truss is already our next PM as she's already got about 70% of the votes to date..

I estimate that around 90% of Tory members have already voted.

Rishi and his mates have put the country in a right old mess, and its going to take a strong lady to get us out of it. Rishi I expect, the only one which will get a good position with Liz, and the only job which will stop him making trouble will be Health secretary.

The BBC is anti Tory, which is maybe why you watch it !   but it's also become anti British, they broadcast what they think you should hear
GB News for me, Alistair Stewart was really good presenting the husting - (funny word husting  ) Talk Radio/TV you can always switch off Piers Morgan   I also watch Al Jazeera, it's Quatari state owned so you can imagine quite biased,  but at least you get to see both sides.

I only read the BBC News online, I watch the STV News as it is about Scotland and gives time to the local places your watching from.

That's probably why I'm not in the know very much about Politics.

A local on line paper for an alternative view maybe ? there must be one for your area. If I want local news I read Chester Standard, Wirral Globe, Liverpool Echo, all have on line publications. Sometimes it's just nice to read a different approach.

To be honest Raven not seen any reports supporting Liz Truss cutting taxes at this time. Ken Clarke being the latest not to back tax cutting. Liz Truss becoming Prime Minister because far more popular one's were some how removed. Most members do not trust Rishi so had no choice but to vote for Liz.

I often read "JOG" as it's the local paper but it's very countryfied and all about Caithness, Farming, Thurso and the surrounding villages. Not political at all.

Why do they not trust him? I can only think of two reasons.
1..He resigned from his job.
2..The Tax affair with his wife.

I don't trust either of them but that's for a different reason, as I'm sure you know.
