Although very convenient at times these machines, can cook a nice batch of chips but its the cleaning afterwards ,in getting it ready for the next time
that is the problem,

Q; do you use a chip fryer  if so do you have a useful way when it comes to cleaning them . if so will you share your tips with us,

klondike

Chips here get fried in a hot air fryer. Less mess less pong. Usually whatever you are having with them goes in too.

Michael Rolls

We had a deep fat frier and something went wrong. Could hardly see across our small kitchen for the smoke. Mum was very upset

I binned my chip fryer about the time I binned my ex  :yahoo: :yahoo:
Air fryers are the way to go now Alfred, as klondike says no smell plus I use paper liners to save on mess.

Scrumpy

I have never had a chip fryer.. Too smelly..
I just cut a potato into chips.. boil until soft .. sprinkle some olive oil over them .. put in frying pan.. cover with saucepan lid..
Turn on fan extractor..

Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..
