To have raised the money it did this was obviously really well marketed. If it turns out that there was an ulterior motive involved it damages all charity appeals. Even having to investigate is bad news.

I don't give to charity.. and as for Come Fund Me.. People are lying and conning others all the time..
The times I have read of people suffering/ dying from this , that and the other and can't afford to take little Freddie to Disneyland ...
We had a local guy who asked for people to fund him because he wanted a decent garden for the children to play in.. People fell for it.. He got a lovely garden and didn't even lift a finger..
I stick with the local animal charities..
Me Too, We have a couple of local-ish animal ones here and those are the ones we give to. Also we are welcome to visit anytime.
