I learnt that my first fuel bill after the big increase is about the same as last years when I take off the £66 from the government.  Not as bad as I feared.  But we have used significantly less gas.
Its not how old you are, but how you are old. 💖

I agree GrannyMac...
I am very careful now using gas/electric.. I hope we get a mild winter...
I have started going to bed earlier and watching the tv..
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

Might pay to keep a tablet charged with a few films on it for when the power cuts come along. Don't forget they will wipe out your home internet too.

Good idea Klondy, I don't have a tablet do you need one with a minimum memory ?  they're not very expensive either.

Most will take a USB stick with a C connector these days. It's called on-the-go support

For Android I'd say 32GB is adequate for some people. Less can be a PITA and more starts pushing the prices up. That said mine is 128GB. I don't think it was overly expensive - I'll see if I can find what I paid. It's a Lenovo Tab 11 Plus and was £182.50 direct from Lenovo. I had some annoying issues with it at first as it was a new model at the time. Firmware updates have fixed it though.

I had a look at the link Klondy, it's double dutch to me I'm afraid

All you need do is look at the specs and see if OTG is supported. Or google the tablet you fancy and include OTG in the search terms to see what you find.

All it means is that the tablet is capable of reading a USB drive as all laptops can. Most of them do these days. They didn't originally.

If you don't want to do any of that then a 128GB tablet will hold quite a few movies anyway so you can copy them directly to it or even just download them to it direct.

I learned where the brightness is on my laptop..
My friend Marty popped in and within a moment my screen has come alive..

That sounds simpler.

Not really. All you need find out is if the tablet supports USB disks or not. I think most do these days,

I learned how small a Fiesta is. Dropped the Mondeo off for a service and the courtesy car is a Fiesta. In my shoes, I am six one and a bit and I can only just squeeze in with the seat as far back as it goes
Thank you for the days, the days you gave me
