Rather than implementing policies to enable families and boost the native population, the government is considering creating a "rural visa" to incentivise more migration to rural areas of the country.
In its annual report, the government's migration advisory committee (MAC) called for the establishment of a new visa through which foreigners would be encouraged to spend at least five years in economically deprived areas of the country in order to allegedly boost economic production and to counter ageing populations and rural depopulation. The MAC recommended that the government reduce its already rock-bottom skills requirements for visas and to reduce visa entry fees and the healthcare surcharge for migrants in exchange for them to move to more remote areas of the UK."We believe it is in the interest of the UK Government to pilot and evaluate a rural visa targeted at areas facing depopulation and that such a pilot would align with the Government's commitment to level up all parts of the UK," the report stated."We would caution the Government in becoming too focused on particular net migration numbers, and any change in objective would need to be consistent with the fiscal rules that the Government have in place," the MAC added.Full story https://www.breitbart.com/europe/2022/12/15/great-replacement-uk-govt-considers-rural-visa-for-migrants-amid-declining-native-populations/
for pity's sake! Just what we DON'T need - we need to encourage our indigenous population, not outsiders.
Is nothing sacred?
I bet you'll still end up voting Tory though. Don't talk to me about wasted votes either living where you do.

It's an interesting idea. Locals move out because they can't afford the houses or there are no jobs so ship immigrants in giving them housing and benefits.
all in the name of bloody diversity. The next village - Coupar Angus -is inundated with East Europeans and is totally different from 20 years ago. The biggest - by far - local employer is a chicken factory (which makes the place stink from time to time) and Angie, my cleaning lady used to work in the accounts office 30 years ago when the work force was totally local. Now there is nary a Scot to be seen.
I suppose this means Highland Council will be pestering all the farmers again, to sell all or part of their land to build homes on. :yell:
Just what we need.

There was a bloke in the supermarket yesterday moaning about the prices going up. We nattered briefly. Somehow Fishy Rishi got mentioned and he went off on one. I think he'd be wearing a white pointy hood and carrying a burning cross if he was a yank. I got the impression that he wasn't overly keen on diversity as I crept away.
Incentivise more migration to rural areas of the country ? :wtf:
When Jimmy Carter was running for POTUS a news channel interviewed New Yorkers in the street, asking their opinion of the man. The one that has always stuck in my mind was 'in my opinion, the man's a lunatic'.
Seems we have a Carter copyist in so-called charge
If we liked diversity they wouldn't have to force it on us.
And we have a bloody dance group called Diversity..
Their group leader Ashley Banjo... is always spreading the WORD through dance ..
