I'm all for helping individuals personally.  Family first when necessary!   However, anyone who thinks a charity run simply by volunteers can turn over huge amounts to research is deluded.   IMO.

In 2020/21 BHF raised £86 million. A lot less than in previous years, due to lockdown and the shops being shut.  It still spent £74 million on research and support for patients with heart ❤️ problems.  How would Mr Belfield suggest that money could be raised without paid staff who have the expertise to fundraise on a large scale?  I'm fully aware that around 30p out of each pound raised is spent on infrastructure, shop and office rent, wages, insurance etc.  I'm also aware of the great strides made in treating people with heart disease.  And of course it provides employment.

Here endeth the lecture.  And I didn't say f*ck once!

Its not how old you are, but how you are old. 💖

The problem with Belfield's videos is they go on a bit, so a tip is to skip the first  third of the rant. :upvote:
