Title: Best films from the last 5 years
Post by: -Oy- on June 08, 2022, 09:06:35 AM
Which films from the last 5 years have you really enjoyed?

One which sticks in my mind was 1917. Awesome! Don't think I blinked!

I might be over-thinking this (been at it an hour now!) but I can't even decide on the first 3!

You may be spoiled for choice but having checked my catalogue (although I may have seen more) I can't say many were outstanding. 1917 may have been the best for me too.

We haven't been to the Cinema in years, so I've not seen any recent ones. But I do like the look of the latest Jurassic World "dominion" I have seen several clips on YouTube. It's due out later this month.

I've only been in a cinema once since we came up here - Niall and Liz, his partner, took me to see 'Mama Mia, here we go again not long after Veronica died to give me a break. Time before that Veronica and I went to see Gandhi, probably 25 (?) years ago? Perhaps more.

It seems daft but as much as I like ABBA I could never get into that Mama Mia film.

If you can tolerate bad language, then I would include'The Gentleman' with  a sleazy Hugh Grant and marvellous Michelle Dockery.

I saw that with my grandson. Very well informed, caught the feeling of the time.

I watched the documentary first which tallied well with the story I recall from the book I read on it years back. The film juiced things up a bit which, for me, didn't improve it.
