Am hopeful of your creation(s) though...early signs are good, if that's not too patronising.
Don't fully understand the parallel universe sites situation, but I'm going to use them as one big place with just the need to leave two tabs open to leap between them.
PF appeared to be going tits up. It looked like it was maybe going to close down and I didn't want to lose contact with all the folks there so I set up a clone site that ran on a Raspberry Pi on my home internet connection as a backup. That caused an enormous row which ended up with this site on proper hosting with its own domain name.
I still run a backup/development version on my Pi at home - https://letschat.digitalham.co.uk/

Well that was a trial for all concerned.
I've seen forums close without much notice - theswamp was one, and UKgeneralchat was another which some members may remember, which can be mentioned as they no longer exist and people lose touch (fortunately in some cases :evil: )
I'm going to sit on the fence as I can see both sides of the argument. Like a few, I'll post on both, and will post on other forums too as appropriate.
As said, finding a safe haven for those dealing with Kim Jong-un north of the 38th parallel would be nice, and having two "linked" potentials is, IMHO, a bonus.

Cheeky question, but are there parts of the site which as a newbie I'm not permitted to see yet? Not complaining. Just curious.
WE used to have a section when we first started out which couldn't be read by anyone just ' browsing' No matter what was said, the boss on the Mother Ship just wouldn't believe that this site was only intended as a back up.

There is a section (not much used these days) that is only visible to regular posters which from memory takes 60 posts. Keep going and you'll soon see our boring secrets. One or more are only visible if logged in. I did that mostly to hide the word games from search engine crawlers which may have marked them as spam.
