Title: A sad few days......
Post by: Dayjo on February 17, 2022, 09:18:35 PM
Mia, really loved her two guinea pigs. Snowball, and Patch.
Had them several years. They spent most of their time eating. Getting bigger....

Here's Snowball, last year.  On her way to help me with a building project....

Mummy decided to take Snowball to the Vet's, while Mia was at school. Cos', her bum's looking a bit big.
The problem was bladder cancer, which had already spread! She had to be put to sleep....

Can you imagine.
Mia arriving home from school, and Snowball was in the pet carrier, wrapped in an old towel! She was totally devastated!
Poor kid!

After a little thought... Grandad will sort it!
Want to bury her, in your garden, Grandad.

What could I do, but dig a hole, next day.....

During the little ceremony. Storm Dudley broke over us. Everyone left Grandad, on his knees, working.
So, I partially filled the waterlogged hole, then ran inside to dry off.

Today was dry. Managed to finish off......

Mia is glad she asked Grandad, to do a proper job......

Good for you Dave but how sad for little Mia but I suppose it'll help when the time comes for Patch to follow.  Always the problem with small pets..

That's so true Mike, good idea to put flowers on his grave, now Mia has a place she can remember Snowball.

I've had the idea, of quietly planting a single snowdrop bulb.
Then, next spring. "Look what Snowball has sent you"....
