After all the rich eating christmas and boxing day., today for a nice change our dinner was yes the old favourite, that is ,

Bubble and squeak, accompanied with left over turkey, and of course the odd spoonful of chutney , Piccadilly , and pickled cabbage, lovely ,.

well it made a nice change ,

Q; what do you cook or make with Christmas dinner left overs , and will you share your thoughts with us,

I had gammon, mash, sprouts and parsley sauce.   No pudding though.... :grin:

I ate out. No leftovers. Paid a penance today though. Sardines on toast.

Had gammon yesterday, today home made pea and ham soup..........tomorrow the bathroom scales.
The problem with being retired is that you never get a day off

Simple things are best, today I had a slice of crusty bread toasted, with baby tomatoes fried in a little olive oil, Italian herbs, bit of garlic pepper and topped with a sprinkling of grated Parmesan.  Nigella eat your heart out  :smug:

We had home made Lentil Soup, with boiled potatoes to put in with it. Couple of plates of that and your full.  :smiley:

Cold chicken.. with some bits and pieces I found knocking about in the fridge..
I must eat some veg tomorrow.. or not..

Not sure why but if ever anybody mentioned lentils within the hearing of my father he would shudder and come up in goosebumps. He never would offer any explanation.

I like to make ham and split pea soup, but it never tastes as good as my Mum used to make ! :hmm:
