Title: H.M.'s Last Journey.
Post by: Raven on September 11, 2022, 07:01:10 PM
My son borrowed one of my old cameras this afternoon and went away up Kinoull Hill overlooking the Dundee Road into Perth.

If I'd been in Perth instead of up North I'd have been right there beside him. Camera in hand. :check:

Great pictures..  Scotland did her proud..
I watched her journey yesterday.. The dignified clapping as she passed by..
A silence.. just the barking of a dog.. Which seemed appropriate..
.. And it didn't rain.. !!

It seemed to me that was the real Scottish people out yesterday, no SNP voices to be heard.

I checked and it seems that the SNP may well want to retain the monarchy. There is republican sentiment in Scotland but it isn't a majority view.

Couldn't that be quite difficult?

Raven.. Please put a new link up about the lady who owned the chippy and celebrated the Queens death by opening a bottle of fizzy plonk .. and how the Scots reacted..

No idea but I can't see Scotland being refused if they ask. Of course Sterling is an entirely different kettle of fish. I can't see there being a  majority for independence anyway.
