Happy new year all.  Here's a new one of mine to start the year....
Chap was having an operation and was very nervous about it and whether the stitches would hold OK after the op.
The consultant, to cheer his patient up, told him a few jokes.
The jokes were so good he had his patient in stitches.

So long as he didn't split his sides. i hope the doctor did an adequate risk analysis.
