Might be a filter issue unless you have a filtered socket with a phone and router socket which most probably will have by now. More likely to be a line problem though unless you have made any changes phone wise imo.

If you have a phone while the router is connected listen on it for crackling or any other noise such as a hissing sound. Press the zero to get rid of the dial tone. If you hear that call and complain about it rather than the internet. If the internet connection keeps failing call them again and keep calling. They'll probably have a script of you'll need to go through before they'll send anbody out.

Nothing you do on the internet should cause the connection to fail.

Ah the battle with the checkout operator - familiar as were the earlier observations. I was in Lidl today which lived up to your standards entirely starting in the car park with some dawk wandering across the main entrance roadway not looking with a phone up to their ears. It went downhill from there.

Quite interesting. I have never thought that voting could be such a problem for you. At school our English teacher told us that elections in the UK are no problem, as there are only two parties contrary to us.

Computers and Technology / still got problems
Last post by Michael Rolls - Yesterday at 10:08:52 AM
Had a BT engineer call two or three weeks ago and claimed that he had fixed my connection problems - but they are back. For several days now, every time I come on here my connection fails, usually whilst I am the site, but on two occasions the moment that I leave it and attempt to go to another site. I have only managed to complete Wordle twice in the last 10 days (they were the days when my connection failed after I left here. I have taken to looking at my other sites - news, on-line banking, weather, etc., before coming here, and so far none of them have caused any problem. I think that I will just give up on Wordle but will continue to try and come on here and see if that helps.

It's easier than that.  Just don't vote for them.

Poor Brian.. If he is a 'crackpot' that is very sad
Just imagine if he was your dad
Beside his tall tales
Even Sunak pales
Maybe he's just a Jack the lad

Sciatico's a piece of work
He puts folks down with a nasty smirk
He just seems to hate the Brits
He reckons we're a load of shits
But when said and done he's just a berk

Poor Brian.. If he is a 'crackpot' that is very sad..
Perhaps he is just a regular guy who is struggling with his mind..
If that is the case calling him names is also sad..

Didn't you just love her.. ? She played a good game under so many disguises..
She would send me an email admitting to it all.. At least she gave us a bit of fun..
I bet she is around somewhere..

Sciatico... He is entitled to his opinions .. as others are..
Just because they might be different to others doesn't make them wrong..
There are many of us who like to voice our opinions..
It takes all kinds to make up an interesting forum..

Quote from: JBR on May 27, 2024, 10:52:30 PMNone of my business of course, because I no longer visit the Mother Ship, but do other members bother to discuss matters with Scatty?

Personally, I avoided interacting with him as soon as I realised his consistent line of thought.  It really isn't worth the effort when someone's opinions are completely contrary to one's own.  I also got the impression that he isn't one to participate in a humorous chat.
Yes I'm afraid I do answer .
Really can't allow the sort of crap he spouts go unchallenged

This is sad.
I have always suspected that Brian was in fact the owners trying to engineer interest .
But I'm probaby wrong just your average crackpot

No. I think he disagrees for the sake of it.  Life's too short.
