How about these wonderful older people doing some real work in real jobs.

Why does there have to be any point other than it's post with clips about three people who I find quite amazing.
I mean, working in a shop & pushing a hospital bed at 96 & shelf-stacking at 103 is pretty remarkable I would say.
You may as well ask all of us why we post anything we find interesting.
Let us mention Tracey at the Co-op too..
She turns up at her job every morning, having walked two streets away.
She chats to the customers and tells of any new gossip that is doing the rounds.. When the mood takes her she will stack a couple of shelves..It must all be very tiring because she yawns a lot..
Hidden near the till she has a mug of tea and is able to take a slurp when she feels faint..
But it is not all bad.. she goes back home at 12 noon to take a well earned rest.
Tracey must be all of 57 years.

Yes, this is what I mean, real life interest, but it would be better if you told us more about her such as how long she's worked at the Co-op, has she got children & if so many & how old are they etc?
Does she have any ambition to progress her career with the Co-op or is she content at her present shop assistant level?
You could start a thread called Tracy at the Co-op & add posts about her to keep us updated.
In fact I've started one but I don't know Tracy so I won't be able to add anything to it.
Tracey hates bloody work...
How many of us pledged to go on serving our country all of our lives? Not many I bet! In my mid 70s, I volunteer in a charity shop, because I choose to. For how long? Up to me. No expectations from anyone else. A big difference in my view.
Absolutely right.. We, as we get older, have a choice on whether to work or retire..
Many look forward to the day they retire..
Tracey hasn't dedicated her working life to serve the people at the Co-op..
I admire the few that have dedicated their lives to their country..
