Why me Lord?.. I opened a fresh bottle of whiskey this evening and can't close it again. The screw-on cap just goes loosely round and round without tightening. I've stripped off the metal collar so I only use the glass thread, nope.. round and round, just like the wheels on the bus. Any words of wisdom before I have to go out and find the mt bottle I chucked away? It's cold and dark outside..

Insulating tape? Duct tape? Sellotape?

It won't evapourate anyway and any germs that can survive in it would have killed you and taken over the planet already.

Have you got a cork lying around anywhere ? bit of cling film failing that.

klondike

Cling film under the cap may make it screw up but is no good on its own as it won't stick well.

Hmm.. All reasonable suggestions but all flawed..Looks like I'm venturing out into the night.. Not been outside for almost 3 months so let's see if I make it back!

How much is left

Apart from the possibility of finishing it it does impact on the odds of  you getting back

How much left? A whole bottle!  only just opened it.. Anyroad up, I'm back. Old bottle cap fits perfectly so  problem solved. ..I'll have a slurp about 9..
