Legal terms and conditions

A popup on my phone made me think of this

Buy a phone and one of the first things you have to do is agree to their terms and conditions. If you don't you can't use it but could in theory get a refund.

So with this phone I agreed to something a year or so back. Now they want to change those terms. In the popup I saw no link to what had changed but likely wouldn't have read it if I had. I did what I assume everybody does and clicked agree. I'm not sure what would happen if I hadn't

Now I'm wondering. This phone still has value. If they pop in some term that I objected to could I then ask for a refund.

I assume not as some smart arse lawyer will have excluded that option in the first lot I agreed to.

Given we are shafted why do they even bother telling me something I'd never read has changed in some way I'll never investigate.

If it wasn't so damned hot maybe id be thinking about something useful.  Probably not though
