Title: Stop blaming covid..
Post by: Scrumpy on April 29, 2022, 07:42:27 AM

I do believe that firms and workers are taking the mickey now..
They are using Covid as an excuse for their failings/laziness.
Many workers are not at their desks , counters, phones and are using covid as a reason..
My dentist still insist that patients wait OUTSIDE until invited to enter.. !
The people making the big bucks are the likes of Amazon and online deliveries/orders.
It seems that they employ people who are prepared to work .. Usually foreigners.

Get back to bloody work.. You lazy buggers..

I was quite ill for a long time a few years ago and am very grateful it was then and not now.  Our GP practice do not answer the phone now and I am grateful that I have not needed an urgent appointment.

The falloff is post covid lockdowns. I imagine they make loads of wonga during it.

I suspect the falloff will continue. A lot of their sales are of stuff that those strapped for cash can drop and somebody has to pay for the home delivery convenience. A lot of stuff can be bought elsewhere cheaper.

During lock down there was little choice but online shopping..
People are in the habit of buying online as many high street stores have been forced to close..
It will take years to recover.. If ever they do..
The days of shopping on the high street  are gone.. I fear..

Noticed a programe on tv  'A Very British Job Agency'..
They are struggling to find workers for the jobs advertise . It finds workforce unwilling to return after several months of furlough..
