Title: sitting round the table,
Post by: alfred on April 11, 2022, 08:11:57 AM
When it comes to tea time do people still sit up at the table or do more people sit in armchairs eating off a tray  of course it doesn't help the posture  being bent over where as sitting upright would.

Q; what are your thoughts when it comes to eating,  chair .table, or arm chair,

I only sit at the table if eating something messy that I'm likely to slop down me. Otherwise it's off a tray on my lap sitting on the sofa.

When the grandchildren are here, we sit at the dining table.  When its just us, its usually a tray on the lap.

We only have a small kitchen, no room for a table. Dining room feels too formal when there's just us. At our children's homes, we always eat at the kitchen table as do they.

My kitchen table is OK for 2, 3 at a pinch provided the meal is simple. Dining table will take 6 - any more and I have a further table I can add to it, covered with a cloth to hide the fact that is actually a pasting table!

We got into the bad habit of eating off the coffee table in front of the TV, but my husband said he got indigestion so we moved to the kitchen table, I'd rather move back to the coffee table as I get more conversation from the TV!!!!!!
