Ramadan on Wednesday 22 March 2023, Rasmus Paludan a Danish MP will visit Wakefield and burn a Quran in contempt of the undemocratic forces in England.

So, is this just inflaming a "hotbed" situation in Yorkshire, or is he standing up for all of us  ?

I'd say it's a stupid thing to do.

I think all the getting hot under the collsr about images of Mohommed or if somebody farts while holding a Quran etc. Is pretty daft but a sizeable proportion of the human race don't. Why deliberately upset them?

GrannyMac

Why indeed. Or why not do it in Denmark?

The incident with the kid being accused of damaging a koran and his mother made to sit in a muslim "court" went all around the world.  I guess this man feels upset nothing was done about the death threats the boy received, his way of showing his displeasure.  I wouldn't risk burning one, not that I'd want to, but I'd be too scared of repercussion.

Seeing that poor mother sitting uncomfortably with the muslims, wearing a headscarf which she shouldn't have felt obliged to wear as it's not her religion, more or less begging them to forgive her 14 year old autistic son from damaging the koran, I was sick to my stomach. I understand the poor lad is in hiding now as with that teacher after both receiving death threats. The British authorities, school etc. should have stood up for them, but they did nothing probably so as not to upset the muslims.

So now we have a Danish potitician with a lot more guts than our useless lot coming over here to burn a koran, well good for him he is a braver man than I am, it shouldn't have to happen but if it gets over to muslims that they live in democratic secular country where death threats against children, or anyone come to that, are not acceptable and any religion or ideas  should be open to criticism I will be happy but I doubt these stoneage brained lot will take it on board, why are they even here if they won't fit in?

An afterthought, I bet he won't even be let into the country.

It's not surprising either.

I'd put it more as common sense.

You know for sure that Quran burning is designed to cause offence and in the case of the particular groups invoved (those being offended and those doing the offending) the result wouldn't just be waving of placards. Inciting a riot is a criminal offence I think and that is what he would be doing. Let him do it at home.

Told you he wouldn't be let in, if they can refuse him entry why not the rest?

Amazing that our Government, when they want to, can control who enters the country.
