SCOTLAND stands ready to "do its part" and welcome refugees from Gaza, according to a Scottish minister.

Migration and refugees minister Emma Roddick made the remarks at Holyrood's external affairs committee yesterday, arguing that the Scottish government and local authorities had learned from the experience of resettling Ukrainian refugees over the last year as well as from the "positive response" from communities.

About 25,000 Ukrainians have arrived in Scotland over the last year-and-a-half, and now the minister has called for the British government to create a similar scheme to offer safe shelter to those fleeing the Israeli invasion.

Ms Roddick said: "The First Minister's been very clear that Scotland stands ready now.

Very true Klondy.    Plus taking in Ukrainians you'd think that they would one day go back home.  Once the rog heads are here, they're here to stay.

I'm sure they'll all head for Londonistan as soon as they can, for obvious reasons.

Oh I don't know, they might stay, like the Scottish First Minister, and Navid in Still Game. 😉
