Yes he was, for a long time I think.  She wasn't that old was she, very sad.   He's got a new girlfriend though, a rock singer.

It's possible he didn't realise. I know I can't hold a tune but thousands don't seem to realise they can't. Try a karaoke evening at a pub if you don't believe that. A friend should have told him it was a bad idea.
