Chester FC's stadium straddles the Welsh border which means home games could be banned from having more than 50 fans after the club was told by North Wales Police that it breached Welsh coronavirus rules at two matches.
The ground has an English address due to the location of the club's offices behind the main stand which is in England, but the pitch is in Wales.

Since it was opened in 1992, the Deva Stadium's location has been a point of contention. The fact that the hallowed turf of Chester FC's ground is in fact Welsh has come to the delight of many a fan of Chester's local rivals.

A Welsh Government spokesperson confirmed the official Welsh position on the Deva Stadium.    "Chester Football Club's stadium is in Wales therefore Welsh regulations apply.  To make matters more complicated, the land is owned by Cheshire West Council and Chester FC pay rates to the same council.
