My oven stopped working.  Blew a fuse too.  Hoping it's the heating element as it's cheap, and I've ordered it.

Today I've sat watching workmen in the street laying new gas pipes. They're massive. How boring and sad is that.
Must get up early tomorrow so I don't miss anything. :embarrassed:

We had that here. They won't be used for long if the net zero thing goes through on time. THey'll be digging the road up again to put thicker electric cables in.

Meanwhile, round my neck of the woods work continues to "improve" roads, largely (and very very slowly) by making cycle lanes everywhere thus reducing any change of parking which will have an adverse effect on trade for the many small shops that rely on passing shoppers pulling in for 5 mins to get something and moving on, and making sure that those with physical disabilities find it as difficult as possible to get to these shops and restaurants.

Naturally, the surrounding roads with houses on them have already seen a marked increase in traffic flow which, ironically, has made them a less safe place for cyclists who used to use them unimpeded.

Praise be to town and planning graduates eh?

It's a dull morning here, even Mike Graham is struggling.....
