We used to dine around six, and I still do when I have guests, but when on my own I dine between 1200 and 1300 - helps to break up the lonely days, and a Martini before hand is pleasant

Can't remember the last time I had a Martini, quite fancy one instead of vino for a change.   Chin chin.

my slippers are more like a light shoe - the other day when I got home I realised that I had a shoe on my right foot, a slipper on the left!

Was that after the Martinis? 

No I never drink and drive, but it would have been a good excuse!

I've never heard the word so Googled sliders and I'd call those mules or flip flops, sandals
