In truth it's only helpful for downloads as for things like browsing or streaming video 20 is entirely adequate. The real advantage of full fibre is you aren't susceptible to poor joints causing problems. Phone lines have many joints and each and every one can potentially cause you pain. This is my laptop over WiFi the desktop is wired and may be better. Or not. As I said I took 500 as it's only about £2 a month more than 100. The top products on CityFibre were 900/900 but they were more expensive. TBH anything above 100 is probably overkill for any practical home use and 20 is entirely adequate for most things but the ISPs try to con folk they need more.

Not feeling too clever, this constant heat is too much for me. 

Fishing tomorrow as first day of the season. Early start as it will be the other boat which is further away. Water there is shallow so with this heat I'm not expecting much. Hope the new boat is fixed soon as that marina is nearer and deeper.

A quick trip to Lidl, then an aqua aerobics class at a different pool, where the water is always really cold. No one will complain about it today! Our local pool should reopen in a few weeks, fingers crossed. 

I've decided to upgrade our intruder alarm system, which can be set or unset via SMS texts + any alerts, to a smart system where the entire programming & control of the system is done via WiFi & Alexa, with SMS as a backup for on / off / alerts.

So I'm looking at various systems on the market.

Been to the pool, it was cccold in that water till I'd done several lengths. Dunc walked Dageus as it's too hot and his paws could get burned if I went later, so catching up with household chores and probably laze this afternoon. Might get to the beach tonight with the Clyde's and Dageus can have a swim.

Grandchildren are grown up.. the friends they went to college with are all grown up.. Hattie's friend at college is coming here tomorrow to power clean my decking.. I know many of the kids.. most have been here..
 It seems that all the kids help each other where they can.. 
It's pay back time eh!!  

Fishing again. As predicted a bit slow with mostly small roach but a few nice bream turned up too.

It has cooled down and is raining a bit.  We have been invited to a barbecue this afternoon so, while I am happy about the rain, we don't want it later!
