There's a chance that one of your neighbours may have discriminated though and put out some poison bait if they saw Roland visiting their garden. Rats don't get good press.

I doubt it had been poisoned as it legs & tail were a healthy white with no sign of any discolouration that normally occurs.

Many of the neighbours have dogs & or cats so they're unlikely to put out poison bait as they'd be even less popular if the poison bait got transported into another garden & got eaten by the dog / cat.

Drizzling here.  I'm on day 5 of a bloody awful cold, my last one was only February too, but they always go on my chest unfortunately.
I've got plants to pot up from last weekend as I haven't felt much like doing it.  Luckily we've got rain so they should be ok.

A quiet day. S-i-l and b-i-l go to their respective homes tomorrow (they are Veronica's siblings), so making the most of companionship this evening, prior to an empty house again

I'm sure nobody wants to even read this, but you did ask.
I obtained the poo sample requested of me and put it in the pillar box for collection at 9am tomorrow.
Oh, too late.  You've read it!

Daughter in law and eldest granddaughter went home today, its been lovely having them here.  Got together with daughter and youngest granddaughter yesterday, all the girls.  Went out to eat, then to the theatre.   It made such a nice change.
Its not how old you are, but how you are old. 💖

Ah playing Pooh sticks or Pooh stick as it is these days.

I'm now no longer convinced that that particular screening test works all that well.

About  a month or so after I last played one of the GPs at my doctor's deigned to actually look at the results of one of the annual blood tests they insist on. He noticed that my PSA level was high and had been for the last 5 years and  rising too so I was given an MRI on the hurry up. Nothing desperately wrong but they thought I might enjoy a colonoscopy too. Two of them. They found and removed polyps. One was very big. Luckily they were benign. The thing is I think playing Pooh sticks should probably have shown their presence and didn't.

Well, I can certainly understand your feelings and if they missed something I'd certainly be livid too.
To be honest, I wouldn't enjoy a scope being pushed up my backside either!
On the other hand, it is always to be safe than sorry.
Although the poo-stick job isn't completely foolproof, at least it's better than nothing.

Brother and sister in laws go to their respective homes today, dental and chiropody appointments in the morning and Tesco delivery after lunch - it's all go, you know!

I should have gone to an exercise class, but my upset tum said otherwise. I feel fine now, so might just move off the sofa. 😁
