Last night, when I went to do the nightly food top up, I found one of our visiting residents had died, so today it was a burial in the garden.

It was, this resident was a rat who had been visiting for a few months & used all the facilities.

The two hedgehogs are still ok.

Fabulous that your hedgehogs are still with you.

Its a lovely morning, I'm waiting for granddaughter to get up and eat, I'm taking her to the leisure centre for a trampoline and gym day.  Easy childcare 🤫. Meeting my friend at the garden centre for coffee, just wondering if its too soon to buy plants for the pots?
Its not how old you are, but how you are old. 💖

Good to hear that the hedgehogs are still visiting your cafe Diasi..

Sunshine today.. hooray...

oh Phil, I assumed it was one of the hedgehogs - perhaps it's hypocritical, but a rat doesn't worry me (unless it's running around the house!)

That's sad, how many do you have visiting now ?

Afternoon, Had a busyish day, walked the park with Dageus and dropped him home, then went to Tesco for some groceries. Had the Physio putting me through it late morning but at last she has released me and I was so glad.
Felt a bit flat the last few days as the Surfing Championships were on over the W/E and I wasn't there, first time I've missed them since I moved to Himself's place.

My brother in law (not the one who died in Perth 18 months ago, obviously) is on his his way to meet Mary, his sister, and myself for a few days. Really looking forward to having people in the house

This weather's flippin awful ...  cold, wet and windy. It's depressing.
But take heart! Next week it supposed to be bringing a lovely war spell.

Diasi ... you have hedgehogs who visit? My eyes just glowed green .. it must be fabulous.

I'm practising my moans about how it's all hot and sweaty already

 You'll have to be quick .. I'm the first to moan about heat, and rashes and stinging critters and all things sunny and nice.

We have two of them who are virtually permanent residents at the moment.

We also had a rat that made itself at home as they & hedgehogs can co-exist , but it was the rat that died.

I don't discriminate between any of the visitors as it's not my place to decide which ones get looked after & which ones don't.

If they choose to avail themselves of the facilities that's fine by me.

I made a casket out of a plastic takeaway box with a few winds of duct tape round it & buried the rat at the back of the shed.

It was a living little visitor & not a piece of trash to be thrown in the landfill bin.
