Morning all, lovely sunny day here so I decided to put up the door mesh that arrived yesterday.  Now I'm feeling frustrated so came I in here for a cup of coffee and a rant.  I can't get the old drawing pins out of the frame and I can't find the pliers......  no reply from my lad either.  At least I've got sheets on the line, I managed to work the washing machine without the book in my hand so that's progress  :yay:

Sun shining, washing on line, a bit of weeding til my knee told me to stop! OH has made me a nice sandwich, I'll be off to a freezing pool for an aqua class.  Can't wait for my usual pool to reopen.
Its not how old you are, but how you are old. 💖

Just come back from seeing the kids in Devon.  It was so busy down there, the traffic snarl ups, people everywhere, can't cope with it. They are building in every nook and cranny, but all houses for sale probably to outsiders, where are the places for locals? there don't seem to be any.

Another thing I noticed, the Devon accent is all but disappeared, so sad. My grandchildren have a broad Devon grandfather their mother lesser so, but they have no trace of a Devon accent at all.

It is deathly quiet here were we live and seems very strange coming back, I suppose I will get used to it again, but feel very lonely at the moment and missing my family.

why did you want pliers to extract drawing pins? A very thin bladed screwdriver or stiff knife blade are better suited

Morning, Dull and grey here at the moment. Just out of the shower and pleated my wet hair so it dries all wavy. Had a busy week and as David's coming to walk Dageus I'm back in clean jammies, going to have a lazy day doing very little, catch up on TV I've recorded and some reading or knitting, see how I feel.
Have a nice day and Happy Easter.

Remembering that it's 3 years since one of our two Yorkies died.

A truly dreadful day as we couldn't be with her due to Covid restrictions.

Oh, Phil, how awful. The anniversaries never get any easier, do they? At least Veronica, our little Fleur and my sister all died before Covid - don't know how I would have coped if I could not have been with then - it was awful enough as it was.

Indeed it was.

Being with a pet at the end of their life is the last, & probably the most important, thing that we can do for them.

Good morning to you all.  Sunny and clear here.

Have been teaching Mrs Dex how to send gifs on WhatsApp, so that will keep her amused and quiet for a bit.

Making some beef burgers for tea in a bit, then a bit of gardening (on and off throughout the day) intermingled with a couple of A level online tutorials.  Help set the dining table for tomorrow, and maybe peel some spuds, or this might be done tomorrow morning while Mrs D is at church.

Have a good one, each and every one of you.

treated myself to a recliner/riser for the lounge. When my back is bad the 'ejection seat' mode really helps
