I guess I'll have to tackle the weeds coming through the cracks in the block paving soon then

I'll watch the women's rugby - England v Italy this afternoon - much impressed by England last week - with the excetion of France men demolishing England men it was about as one-sided as it gets, but Scotland never gave up.

It can be tricky trying to park in somewhere as small as a supermarket car park. Lol

Does your new car not have an all-singing all-dancing media display with reversing camera?

one thing around here. My Mondeo, at 16 feet long, and 6'1" wide, is fairly large, but there are bigger cars - the 7 series BMWs for instance - and even so, the Mondeo is a foot or more longer than most parking spaces, and if I park in the middle of the space and someone does the same in the next space, the spaces aren't wide enough to fully open my door without hitting the other car and the shuffle needed to get out isn't good for my back. I suppose the Mondeo equates to the Granada of many years ago - the Mondeo is a foot longer and nearly 3" wider.

I think the car park at Kettering General Hospital where I was sent for my hearing aids is an inducement for people to slim and probably sponsored by the local car repairers. Anybody with a BMI in excess of 10 will have problems getting out if they are parked next to another vehicle on their side  (guaranteed as it is always rammed during the day) and getting out of the parking space when leaving is a 7 point exercise in frustration or a dent.

It only has about 200 places which explains why it is always rammed full and this means at least 200 very frustrated motorists. Now if they had use the space available for 180 spaces instead you'd have 20 extra frustrated motorists who would either endlessly circle and still miss out on a place or more realistically park somewhere else but you'd also have 180 thinking it was a decent car park even if you had to do a couple of circuits to find a place.

Have you got it covered with netting? Keep the birds from scoffing. When We returfed last year after the damn magpies had ripped holes everywhere, Dunc covered it and watered it daily.

Raven .. I have not covered it.. The birds seem to stay away from it.. Many seeds are still showing..
Perhaps I will put a few turfs down.. !!

I always prefer turf, but that's just me. Maybe it's still a wee bit on the cool side for your seeds to get into action. Once they start they will shoot up, but I would get them covered, netting is dead cheap, cheaper than another box of seeds.

I've had a bad start to the day, nothing really bad but I followed a tip on t'internet for removing lipstick from carpet - don't ask how it got there as I have no idea  So I rooted out a tin of WD40 from under the stairs and sprayed the lipstick stains, it worked a treat. Now I just need to find out how to get rid of the smell of WD40

2nd mishap of the day, I made coffee in one of those plunger cafetiere thinggys as I've done many times, only this time as I 'plunged' the coffee went all over the worktop, the door, inside the door, the floor...

They say things come in threes, I'd better stay away from the new washing machine !  Fingers crossed for me folks.
