when my back is really bad (thankfully, not happened for a couple of years 🤞🤞) I find that walking with a zimmer for a long time - days - tends to prolong things, so I use my walking poles which let me stay upright.

I use sticks outside Mike, I was given the zimmer home with me from the hospital. It has a basket on the front and is handy for getting a coffee or meal through from the kitchen. Not able to just use one stick yet, my balance is really bad since the fall. As I'm on my own most of the time It was the easiest way. Hopefully the pool will sort me out, if I can get back next week. We are due to return to winter with both snow and ice, outside I will not be going.

yes, I can see how useful it is for you. 'My' Zimmer - it was originally Veronica's - is just an unadorned one. Must say that when my back is bad I thank my lucky stars that we bought a bungalow!

Certainly agree with that Mike. It was 23 years in April that I moved out of the big house that I loved and raised my family in. I moved to an old farm worker's cottage that had once belonged to the castle when Craigie was part of a farm estate. It was a lot smaller and all on the one level.

My daughter had car problems and I was volunteered a lift this morning. Not having usually even dragged my sorry backside out of bed at the sort of hour folk go to work for quite a while I wasn't sure how bad the traffic would be. I could see the car was covered in snow. I overestimated the traffic and the snow on the car was so soft it just came off with a flick. Result well early. Better than late though I suppose. It has been trying to snow all day.

My son is on a trout fishing trip in Wales this week. He hasn't Whatsapped me and I'm not asking

No too late by the time I got back.

Son is fishing the Usk but I don't know where so that may not be much help. I doubt anywhere is likely to be all that pleasant outdoors all day.

No snow so far, but we are promised heavy snow tomorrow. Cold all day yesterday, staggered to about 2C around lunch time, having still been below freezing mid-morning.
