Morning All, Only 6am and I'm awake, but it's my usual time to start and get ready to go for my swim, BUT, No swimming for me today. 🏊 😭
Sat here waiting for some pain meds, see if I can get this throbbing in my knee to calm down a few notches.
Wards starting to wake up and the usual hussle and bussle is getting underway. There's a huge window in here and the rain has been drumming away off n on, I enjoy listening to it, very soothing I find.

Morning, Raven - does your window look out on the Tay? Veronica's ward was 23A - neurology - with fabulous views out over the river.

No it's just other buildings from what I can see. I believe it's just behind the main entrance to the hospital through that tunnel.

Alex

I love listening to rain on the windows too, it is soothing. :upvote:

Has anyone from the Pain team been to see you? They can assess you and perhaps offer some more help to manage it than the ward nurses.

My OHs sister is in Ninewells, very poorly, awaiting an op for kidney stones.  She was rushed in a few nights ago, their brother is keeping us updated.  OH is still pretty poorly himself, the virus, infection, flu or whatever it is is lingering.
Its not how old you are, but how you are old. 💖

The "whatever it is" certainly seems to linger. I'm guessing I had the same but somehow milder as I never had a temperature or felt especially ill. Not sure when I got it but it was certainly before Christmas as it was getting better by then yet I still have a chesty cough hanging around.

No GM, not that I know of, but there has been such a stream of different medical people seeing me I have simply lost track. They have been tweeking my meds though so maybe.
I'm to get all my clips/stiches out today, that will be fun......Not. Be good to have them out as they're very tight and pulling the skin. I remember getting the last lot out of my knee and pleasant it was not.

Michael Rolls

we all feel for you, Raven -best of luck!

Hang in there, hopefully the worst is over. 💐
