Quote from: klondike on January 07, 2023, 05:53:03 PMTwo items from eBay. Arrived really early by post before I went fishing.

Both wrong
Shoe laces. Ordered 100cm got 80cm.
Fishing shot. Sizes supplied different from the listing.

Two other items.
A brochure from a place I haven't bought from in years.
Return of a death certificate I sent for the pointless control of proceeds from an account my father almost certainly emptied 20 years ago.

Still at least they seem to be catching up with the backlog.

What's 20 cms among friends  ?

The difference between having your shoes tied up and not.

The fishing weight bloke replied. Looks like he'll just be sending out the right ones. I always give them a chance before just doing a return as most of these low values items cost them less than the return costs would. Plus I get freebies that may be of some use.

I've been cleaning the fur round our Yorkie's eyes.

Quite a sad job, because although I know she's an old lady, her age is really starting to show in her eyes.

It's the same with my precious boy, he had big beautiful brown eyes. Now they are all cloudy grey. It's tearing me up.

I know, it's the most dreadful feeling.

oh dear, I do feel for you both. Fleur's eyes thankfully stayed pretty good, but her hearing deteriorated for the last five years or so - although I do believe that a degree of selectivity was involved!

Thank's Mike.

I think our Yorkie's hearing is deteriorating as I can sometimes stand behind her & she jumps when I touch her & sometimes she looks as though she's wondering where a sound is coming from.

On a positive note her mobility is still good & she can chase around when she wants to.

She'll be 14 in May & I'm a worrier, but I should really be making the most of whatever time we have left together.

Dagues is 11 in a few weeks, not old in a wee dog but a good age in a giant one.

He loves the iced doughnuts from the village shop, he will get a couple of them cut into pieces.

Mary - Veronica's sister - has returned home to Hereford, so I have to get used to the empty house again - she was only here for a day under three weeks, but it quickly became the 'norm' - now back to reality.

I'm hoping my grand-dogs visit me tomorrow, I haven't seen them since Boxing Day  :upvote:

More fun with the boot laces. They didn't reply to my message about sending the correct size so I opened a return. That usually offers a return label but on this occasion it just said I'd get one by 12th. No return label yet but I did get this rather odd message

Hi,

If the laces are they flat they will measure out to 100cm.

The picture I'd sent

I've replied....

Oddly enough when I checked them I did measure them flat and only took a picture of one doubled for convenience. I have now taken a photo with them flat rather than doubled. Just in case you think that measuring just one lace may somehow alter the length I have taken a picture of the pair. You sent the wrong ones and I have ordered elsewhere in the meantime. Please provide the return label promised.
