We have fog here .. When we travelled home last night we hit foggy patches as we passed the lakes and common..

we had thick, tending to very thick, mist yesterday. Down to 25 mph in places (which is why I call it mist, rather than fog) and still a couple of drivers possessing either X-ray vision or a death wish passed going considerably too fast for the conditions.

Misty morning here, I've been on the train from Cheshire, lucky not cancelled as earlier ones were.

Spent Saturday evening watching my very talented granddaughter in Legally Blonde at Stoke Rep. All the cast are 18 or under. Really good weekend.

Dark and raining.. 

Dark and still raining...

we were forecast a light breeze and heavy showers - received torrential rain and a bitterly cold easterly of near gale force   

Had to order another mobile phone after all 

Most things survived its dunking in the loo but the USB port has multiple problems.

Obscure error message about an incompatible audio device detected. (trivial)
Won't fast charge (so do it overnight)
OTG won't work any more (don't use it on the phone anyway)
and then the show stopper for me...

I can't transfer data to it by USB. I mostly use the thing for listening to audiobooks and once those on it have been read I'd need to mess around trying to transfer stuff by bluetooth or networking over WiFi. Probably possible but quite a faff plus at some point charging may fail too 

The one I'm getting is specified as IP67 dust/water resistant (up to 1m for 30 mins) should I be daft enough to repeat the dunking.

Should be OK for one of my grandchildren unless they are already kitted up with top notch iPhones.

A phone that's been down the loo..!!  I bet the kids will think twice about that..
