managed to tidy the place to look less like a bomb site so the cleaning lady did her usual magic

Apart from swimming and dog walking I'm going nowhere, it's too wet, too windy and and too cold. Just faffing about here today.

we had very heavy rain from before six to around 0845, then just steady rain. Getting windier almost by the minute - 45-50 mph promised in a coupe pf hours or so

Getting a bit wild here too Mike, if it keeps up I may drive over to the ocean, with a one cup flask of coffee, for some wave watching. One of my favourite things to do.

I envy Raven being able to drive to the sea with her flask of coffee. I have almost an hour's drive to get to the sea, unfortunately. I can sit by the River Dee, or the River Mersey that's always pleasant -  no waves though  

I didn't go, I dozed off in front of the fire. 

        that's enjoyable too 

looking forward to Scotland v Australia at 17:30 on Prime. I did an experiment - which didn't work - of trying to record Prime, so I won't be able to record the Autumn internationals as I normally do

Beautiful day here.. I have just scrubbed my decking down.. It was becoming slippery.. I need to replace it with non-slip.. More expense..
