In the article, it goes on to say that solar panels have a life span of 25 years, but as they show reduced efficiancy over time, and as new, more efficient ones are constantly being developed, it might might sense for individuals to replace them after 15 years or so. We fitted panels at Haslemere and those panels are now over 20 years old. Likes like another example of unintended consequences.

I think lots of things are not nearly so green as we were led to believe. I don't think we will be in any way ready to meet the targets the green folks are shouting about......Nor do we need to, no matter how loud they squawk. :waiting:

Never mind solar panels, the whole concept of 'greenery' is nonsensical.
That doesn't need any further proof or explanation. The Greenies have been threatening 'global warming', 'global cooling', and any supposed consequences of each or the other, none of which have actually come about.
Temperatures have been changing, of course, but look back in history and they certainly have changed, both up and down. This is all natural and unpreventable.
Since the country has gone broke, and we have lost all our heavy industry, which has happened over my lifetime, we are not causing pollution in any serious amount. The job of doing that seems to be by places like China, India and others.
Why aren't the greenies going over there to protest?
Not that it would make any difference anyway.
