Perhaps I'm doing something wrong, but threads I'm on seem to flash past, as I only seem to be viewing 'posts'. Therefore if 'Wordle' (as it frequently does attracts a fast 8 posts or so) what I was on has been swept off the board by the sheer volume response. Is it possible to watch just threads and not individual posts they're on - as used to be?
You can either click Unread posts or Updated Topics links (top right).
The updated software added a Recent Posts section which is a lot less use than the mod that produced the Recently Updated Topics section in the prior release and I can't alter that.
I have always use the Unread posts way of navigating the forum but Updated Topics is still there if you click the link it just doesn't appear by default all the time.
I find the Recent Posts so useless that I click the up arrow button on the right under the Forum list and that rolls it up and away out of sight.

On reflection I should maybe move Wordle to the Games section as the profile gives an option to avoid boards of no interest in the lists. The problem there is that I suspect some who like wordle don't bother with the other games.
Any comments folks?
I too prefer just seeing threads rather than every reply..
Please don't move Wordle .. The Games section is busy enough.. I can go straight to Wordle in the mornings..
I've got the games section on ignore, but I do like Wordle so a vote from me to leave it where it is :upvote:

I have my reason for stopping them klondike.
I think that if a member wants to put any topic on ignore it is down to them..
Sometimes I pop into the games section and have a go.. Sometimes I don't..
I am able to scroll through any topic .. to read or ignore..
I do enjoy WORDLE and it is quick to find..
The comments on where the wordle thread is coincides with what I suspected.
It will remain as general interest as apart from the pretty abysmal Recent Posts section it only takes up a single line in any other list I'm aware of and can be skipped easily by folks not interested in it.
I've never played Wordle, but it doesn't bother me where it is. Was a bit surprised when it first appeared, used to it being there now. :wink:

Thank you. Can I choose to ignore, Wordle posts as an entirety
(all relating to) and then Games and Jokes as subjects entirely (i.e delete them as subjects from the main menu)?

You can prevent boards from appearing in your "updated" lists by marking them to ignore here...

They won't disappear from the list of boards. There is no way I'm aware of to ignore specific threads either. The only way to avoid seeing the content of either is to refrain from clicking them.
Thanks klon, I've used the 'ignoreboards' route and the subjects have gone into silhouette. Also your tip on updated topics is ideal for me - thank you. :wink:

Well of course it's subjective, but sometimes less is more and if your right at least you'll have relief from seeing my annoying stuff as well :sad:
