Welsh Rugby has lost another of its legends. Fly half Barry John has died aged 79. Nicknamed 'The King' he was one of the finest half backs ever to play the game, but he found the weight of expectation upon him so great that he retired aged jus 29

I was a bit puzzled when you first said John Barry but at our age it can sometimes be a bit hit & miss getting names right.

apologies - he retired at 27, not 29. Memory fade. Never saw him play in life, although I did see perhaps the only other contender for the title of greatest fly-half in the 20th century - Jackie Kyle.
