I don't see why he stood on a Green ticket. He'd have done just as well as an independent imo.

As for Boris, I can't imagine that he'll manage to come back as a future PM.
As has been said, he has lied and it has recently been discussed on the telly how he held not one, but several parties at No.10 during the 'Covid years'.

It's a shame, because when he first stood for PM I thought he would make a good leader, and entertaining in a way.
Unfortunately, the Conservatives have failed to be Conservative ever since Cameron, and probably since they stabbed Maggie (my heroine) in the back.

I always thought he would be but I'm not sure how the rules stand now. He always looks like he's about to burst into tears to me. Probably that will be us though when he's PM.

I bought a drill sharpener from Lidl. It's useless and will be going back.

Quote from: klondike on Today at 04:37:53 PMI wonder how many actual Greens voted for him. I suspect it was mostly browns.

I wonder?
There can't be that many Greenies in Leeds, just as there aren't that many Greenies in the country as a whole.

I can only assume that one of two things has happened.
Either most people have just given up hoping to elect a useful and competent person to represent them,
or, as I suggested elsewhere, he has taken advantage of the many muslim votes controlled and dictated by heads of certain families, whose word is law.

Quote from: Alex on Today at 05:46:41 PMDoes anyone else think Starmer will  be removed once he's PM ?
I hope not, I don't want to be robbed of watching all the ridiculous hopes of the 'new better UK' Labour supporters crumble as his sheer incompetence surfaces into the spotlight if he becomes PM.

Quote from: Cassandra on Today at 03:54:58 PMHere's the 'Greens' joining in local matters such as bin collections etc. Its been alleged that the local mullah provided lots of grotes to the cabbage suckers to let 'Mothin Ali' and his gang stand as neighbourhood 'Greens'.

Mothin has only been in England three years as well - is he mentally stable - of course he is - you know it makes sense.

Isn't modern Democracy wonderful close up ...

Mothin Ali latest 'Green' recruit
Good God!  Now they're joining the Greens!  He's done this, I'm sure, simply in order to get into a position of influence.  I wouldn't have imagined that the Green ideals form any part of his true religion.

I'm also surprised that the canny people of Leeds have been conned into voting Green, regardless of who was standing.
It has crossed my mind to wonder whether this man has taken advantage of the known means used by his people to obtain additional votes by the leaders of muslim families ensuring that everyone in their home, especially the women, vote as the 'family head' dictates.
