Title: The Nurses
Post by: Alex on November 12, 2022, 11:16:09 AM
How do you feel about nurses going on strike ?
Perhaps it won't come to a strike, but they're asking for 17% which is quite a hike in pay.  People can criticise the NHS, but are reluctant to criticise NHS staff !

A nurse with less than 2 years experience earns £27,055 A charge nurse under 2 years experience starts on £33,706. A ward Sister £41,000 so the salaries aren't that bad, just not as good as Manager's salaries

In all honesty it seems that everyone is going on strike. There is only so much money and when it's gone it's gone.
Everyone is in the same boat, the cost of living is affecting us all badly, but we can't all demand a big pay rise and get one. Simply not enough money to go around.

I hear there is a lot of objection among the nurses to going on strike.
Time will tell, of course.

As Raven says there's not enough money to go around and yet we send billions to Ukraine, spend billions on hotel bills, donate more billions to bloody climate change etc etc...
